Publisher: Nintendo Release Date: 11-18-2002 Genre: Shooter / First Person Shooter ESRB Rating: Teen Description: Metroid Prime is a first-person adventure game. Players control a bounty hunter named Samus Aran who must unravel a mystery behind the ruined walls scattered across Tallon IV.
The game opens just as Samus' spaceship docks on a Space Pirate vessel orbiting the planet. Immediately, the beautiful graphics slap you across the face. Trust us, it's a firm slap. A silky-smooth framerate accommodates razor-sharp visuals of efficient machinery and foreign architecture. Meanwhile, a cinematic soundtrack sets the mood and eerie sound effects thicken the alien atmosphere.

| i love the game, graphics, and fight system but i thought the controls were very frustrating. if the game had one analog control for movement and the other for looking around like the other 1st person shooters i would have been much happier with the game and i would probally rate it 95 percent. it is a must have game nonetheless. |

| Excellent. The immersion factor in this game is fantastic. The environments look awesome, and there's no noticable loading time. The enemies are deverse, and usually challenging. A few creepy spots had me looking around corners carefully and sometimes fighting to the death. The boss fights are incredibly hard, but in a good way. The music and sound is great. The control scheme is great, but it's kinda hard to be precise. An excellent conversion to 3D, but underrated. |
