Description:
Protect, Destroy, Survive.

It is the year 2163. The trans-dimensional fighter R9-Arrowhead has returned from its mission to destroy the evil at the centre of the Bydo Empire. Badly damaged, it has been rescued by the battle cruiser Croque-Monsieur, which has brought it back to Earth's orbital space fortress, Aigis. Astronomers in Central Asia watched as strange objects began to fall from the sky. As they got closer to the Earth, the objects began to shrink in size and disappear from their sensors - the astronomers paid them no further attention, thinking they must simply be meteorites.

Before long, the electronically controlled weapons systems in several cities went out of control and the astronomers began to find several abnormal heat signatures. In orbit, the annihilation unit Moritz-G was sent out of control by Bydo influence and was unleashed on Earth. The Moritz-G descended on a city in Asia. Its planet destruction program is not activated at present, but its self-defence system prevents anyone's approach. A top-class emergency military operation was undertaken: the test fighter "R9 delta" was assigned to the attack force.

R-Type Delta has been reincarnated in this outstanding classic revival. The improved graphics and the Dual Shock vibration option ensure complete immersion into the game, whilst the hectic pace and incessant enemy fire from all directions, will keep you alert and on the edge of your seat with anticipation.

There are 3 ships to choose from - plus a hidden bonus ship - all with unique weapons capabilities. The game makes spectacular use of lighting effects during gunfights and for weapon power-ups. With more than seven levels and three superbosses to overcome at the end of each level, you won't be able to catch your breath. One small mistake and you'll be lighting up the skies!
