Link’s Awakening is classic Zelda game that is loaded with all the items, along with great dungeons, people to talk to, puzzles, bosses, and secrets. This game is pretty similar to Link to the Past, but its age is visible when compared to the newer Game Boy Zelda games. There is only one over world to explore, but it has enough ground to keep you busy. You get to collect the usual items, such as the sword, shield, bombs, boomerang, and shovel. You have to use your wits to navigate through the map and the dungeons while fighting enemies. The level designs are up to the usual Zelda-caliber, throwing enough puzzles your way to keep you guessing. Graphics are bland and outdated, but the sound and controls do a good job. If you haven't played this game by now, then you probably never will.
